While still worrisome, most of these companies won't actually go "out of business", they will just end up restructuring debt through a chapter 11 bankruptcy and then continuing operations. Still, not a good sign. I think we have quite a ways to fall yet before we even think about starting a recovery.

I see BlockBuster going out. Netflix is currently at the top of movie rentals.

I really hope Sbarro stays in business. Such good pizza.

Sucks that Square Enix isn't on that list, I would love for them to crumble into ruin after their several consecutive years of releasing ports and mediocre games.

yes a lot of employees will indeed lost their jobs too bad for the families... would you think its alright for the companies to have a government fund intervention? just to save their employment.

It use to be that Blockbuster would go back to the studio to renegotiate thier prices for movies. I think the studios now believe that downloading directly to the home and cutting out the middleman will be the wave of the future.
